By 2010, women are expected to control 60 percent of the country’s wealth and they will be looking for adventure. Adventure travel is already a growth industry. Often it’s a woman taking the trip down the rapids in the Amazon, or climbing up the side of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Many are 50 years old and older. Is this a new phenomenon in travel? Are more women traveling alone or paired with other women? How well received are women in different cultures where they travel?
